6 Types of Teachers We’ve all had in School

Sometimes it can feel like we’ve met a new teacher before. Not because they look familiar, but due to the fact that they seem to have characterizable teaching traits. We’ve all had a grumpy teacher and an inspiring one too.

Below is a list of 6 types of teachers most people had encountered once or twice before.

TYPE #1: THE TEACHER THAT HATES THEIR JOB

This teacher is probably close to the end of their career and they simply don’t care anymore. This is the class you dread attending and the one that has unreasonable expectations for you. It’s clear they hate their job and it’s clear that they hate you. 

TYPE #2: THE SPORTY TEACHER

This teacher is probably running an after-school sports club and favorites all of the kids on the team. Gym is more important than English or Math to this teacher. They are often wearing track pants or gym attire to school.

TYPE #3: THE CHILL TEACHER

We all love a chill teacher. They aren’t too serious and you can get away with most things in their class. Tests and assignments aren’t as stressful. Most times, this teacher is wearing sweats and swearing in class.

TYPE #4: THE COOL TEACHER

This is the teacher you remember for life! They have a healthy dose of being strict, they inspire you and make you a better student. You do well in their class because you don’t want to disappoint them.

TYPE #5: THE WEIRD, CREEPY TEACHER

This teacher stands a bit too close to you and makes sexual jokes in class. You are surprised they aren’t fired yet, but they’re good at hiding themselves. This is the teacher you don’t want to be in a closed room with alone. 

TYPE #6 THE PUSHOVER TEACHER

A pushover teacher is often a bit disorganized and chaotic. They can never seem to have control of the class and everyone knows that. A simple excuse can fool this teacher. They’re the teachers who have the best reaction to student jokes and pranks.
